What makes a good thriller soundtrack

Elements of what makes a good soundtrack
To create an effective soundtrack for a thriller it needs to be able to set the scene and ctreate an atmosphere. I feel that a good way to set the mood is through the use of minor key, this creates a sad or upestting environment. A precussive heart beat sound and the increasing in tempo and pitch, unsettles the audience and allows them to feel and relive the emotions that the actors on the screen felt. Using nursery rhymes that have been slowed down create a creepy and eerie atmosphere and makes people feel uncomfortable. createing a peice of music that has a chromatic tone also unsettles the audience, and finally repetition, this is because it make the audience feel the same thing over and over.
